Ingredients

For the New York Strip Steak

2 New York strip steaks

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sautéed Tiger Shrimp

1 pound tiger shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

Sea salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

For the White Rice and Corn

1 cup white rice

2 cups water or chicken broth

1 fresh corn

Sea salt to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan to high heat.

Rub the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the grill and let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Cook the White Rice and Corn

In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water or chicken broth, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

In a separate pot, cook the corn in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Tiger Shrimp

In a large skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and chopped fresh parsley. Remove from heat.

Arrange the steak on a serving platter.

Serve the sautéed tiger shrimp on top of the steak slices.

Fluff the cooked white rice with a fork and serve with corn.

Enjoy!
