King Oscar Wild Caught Sardines Over Lemon
Sardines “Sardine” and “pilchard” are common names for various small, oily forage fish in the herring family. The term “sardine” was first used in English during the early 15th century, it comes from the Italian island of Sardinia, around which sardines were once abundant.
INGREDIENTS
3.75 .oz King Oscar canned sardines,
1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
Juice of 3 lemons, plus lemon slices to serve.
Tone’s rosemary and garlic seasoning.
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro.
2 tbs baby capers, rinsed, drained.
1/4 chopped red onion
Directions
Layer the sardines over lemon slices, add oil, lemon juice, rosemary,garlic seasoning, cilantro, capers, red onion and a pinch of salt over sardines, Serve immediately. Enjoy!
