Alligator Bites
Perfectly seasoned, these bite-size alligator nuggets are perfectly cooked pieces of alligator sirloin that are coated in zesty Cajun seasoning. These Fried alligator bites are deliciously crispy on the outside, and moist and tender on the inside – perfect for dipping in your favorite sauce. If you’ve never tried gator before, this is the best recipe for trying something new! Plus, it’s the perfect appetizer to impress your friends! Try it with remoulade Sauce!
Ingredients
1 lb alligator sirloin
1/2 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsps of your favorite Cajun seasoning
Cajun remoulade sauce
Instructions
To get started, rinse and pat the alligator sirloin dry and then cut it into 1-inch bite-size chunks. Next, toss the alligator pieces with olive oil and seasoning. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350 degrees. The oil should be about 3 inches deep. Then gently place the alligator bites in the oil. Cook for 5-8 minutes, until golden brown on the outside.
Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve with Cajun remoulade sauce. Enjoy!
