Spaghetti with Meatballs in a Creamy Garlic Sauce
Spaghetti with meatballs in a creamy garlic sauce is a delicious and comforting dish.
Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, egg, 3 cloves of minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the remaining 3 cloves of minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and chicken or beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until it’s melted and the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat it with the creamy garlic sauce.
Serve the spaghetti topped with the meatballs and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
